As I told Eugene, I stopped working on libfetch mostly because nobody
seemed to be very interested. I have not had *any* feedback at all
from anybody who's actually written code that links with libfetch; the
only feedback I've gotten are suggestions for the API early this
summer (most prominently, using fopen()-style flags)

I'm currently working on solidifying the FTP code (adding timeouts and
making sure connection caching works 100%; the latter requires the
former)
