 Good idea!  I see, from time to time, people asking "what can I do".  
A page of interesting small things to start on would be an excellent
place to point people.  [Of course, that's one of the first things
to go on the "interesting projects list." :-) ]

 Also, I should add that this is something to consider well *after*
the up-coming releases...  Everyone is busy enough already :-)

 Seems like a page would be preferable to the handbook - but - I'm
not sure... opinions?
