I fixed it properly a couple of hours ago.

vat_audio.h was created by config, but is no longer created because
vat_audio isn't in files.i386.  Config doesn't remove stale configuration
files so the problem wouldn't be noticed until a new kernel is configured
or an old kernel is config-clobbered.
