As far as I am aware, the only signal problems are the ones already
in the tree.

The fixes Bruce made he is not happy with enough to commit, so he's likely
to get upset when I commit them. We need to prettyfy those changes ASAP --
something I will focus on when I get set up in Seattle, but I need to
commit this now to unblock others.
