There are several FreeBSD machines in service in this capacity.

No problems from the FreeBSD side.  It depends on if your PCI bus can take
that many busmastering devices.

Emerging Technologies (http://www.etinc.com) makes cards like this.  I
think they make PCI cards too and do have FreeBSD drivers.
