Hi all.... Tried finding some answers in the FreeBSD handbook and on the web but information seems to be sketchy.... One of my FreeBSD boxes needs to come back up quickly in case of an unexpected power outage. On Linux I would use one of the available journaling file systems (ie XFS, JFS ReiserFS or Ext3). Does "soft updates" provide the facility to eliminate an 'fsck' after an "unclean" shutdown? If not how can I acheive this?
