22941Mi Wired looks to be where it finally stabilized while
the system was left idle. The later decrements that I happened
to watch were in smaller sized chunks. (Mostly I was sleeping
after comment #24.)

FYI:
The UTC timestamps on my prior notes given an idea of the
timescale those reported amounts of freeing of Wired happened
over.
