 Yes I belive you can.   It may also pay to look at the Squid proxy cache,
 which is a descendent of the Harvest cache project.   

 Comparing a squid cache against the Netscape cache i think you'll find
 that squid kills it dead :)   Squid is located in /usr/ports/www/squid
 in the freebsd ports collection.
