These really shouldn't be used though.  The idea is to build a release
that is "optimized" for more common higher-end machines but still runs
on all machines on a given platform.  Building releases in this manner
is actually the main reason we have default values for CPU_CFLAGS when
CPUTYPE is empty or undefined.
