Were they "fsbn" errors?  The disk that caused the following in my
/var/log a few months back, died shortly after:

: Nov 17 16:59:57 aeglos kernel: ad0: hard error cmd=read fsbn 11850492 of 5925246-5925249
: Nov 17 16:59:57 aeglos kernel: ad0: hard error cmd=read fsbn 11850492 of 5925246-5925249
: Nov 17 16:59:57 aeglos kernel: ad0: hard error cmd=read fsbn 5925247

so you might want to investigate the integrity of the hard disk :(
