>Description:
Erratic function. Somtimes I can PING the outside world
and other times I cannot. When it fails, I have to kill PPP
and start it again. It fails more often than it succeeds.

I usually start it with: ppp -alias -background ibm

When it does work to the point that I can PING the outside
world, I get the following message:

ppp[241]: Error: Got ConfigReq while state = 4

I am also running Samba, which works fine, in case there
may be any coexistence problems.
