i just ran mergemaster after i compiled a new kernel and did a makeworld, then i rebooted. now when freebsd boots up, it checks the hardware and stuff then when it starts the local services it gets hung in and endless loop concerning getty. luckily i made a backup of etc before i started, but how can i get logged in to install the backup? i tried single user mode by booting with -s but it just returns to the boot prompt...what do i do? nathan __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help?
