Surely the answer will be never, because PHP 5.4 has reached its end of 
life.

You should switch to PHP 5.5 or even better PHP 5.6 according to the 
status of supported PHP versions:
http://php.net/supported-versions.php

There are phar Modules for this versions in the Portstree.
