I am having a heck of a time here.
I have 4.2 RELEASE.
I added a line for my Digicom modem in /usr/src/sys/isa/sio.c.

I rebuilt the kernel.

If I leave sio1 enabled my kernel gives this message:
unknown: <Digicom Modem DI3656> can't assign resources
and pnpinfo shows the following:
CSN CTL3061 (0x61308c0e), Serial Number 0xffffffff

Logical Device #0
IO: 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000
IRQ 0 0
DMA 4 4
IO range check 0x00 activate 0x00

If I disable sio1 I get the following line for IO:
0x02f8 0x02f8 0x02f8 0x02f8 0x02f8 0x02f8 0x02f8 0x02f8

The IRQ line shows 3 and I verified that no other devices use that IRQ
with dmesg.

I have tried turning PnP OS installed off in BIOS and turning it back
on.
I have also tried resetting the PnP information.

What ever happened to the pnp device from the older kernels anyway? I
can configure this modem in linux with the isapnp tool.

Please Help!!! :)
Dave
