Then you need to build a kernel with debugging and get a backtrace:

options         KDB                     # Enable kernel debugger support.
options         DDB                     # Support DDB.
options         GDB                     # Support remote GDB.

When you get to the debugger prompt at boot, type "bt" for backtrace.
