I am no lawyer, and I won't complain at all if others with more 
experience disagree, but if I make a software package, I think you must, 
reasonably, ask my permission before you make big changes in it.  I 
define cutting away 95% of it as big changes.  It seems wrong to do it 
without permission, that's all.
