hi! if was wondering as i've seen the size of my ~/.xsession-errors: 4797280192 Bytes! the problem is the lastest midnight-command-4.6. it supports the rewrite of the gnome-terminal title. if i start it i get this errors in my .xsession-errors: (9369 lines) ** (gnome-terminal:1031): WARNING **: Error reading from child: Invalid argument. the main reason for the filesize is this error: ** (gnome-terminal:23894): CRITICAL **: file vte.c: line 14754 (vte_terminal_background_update): assertion `VTE_IS_TERMINAL(data)' failed the first error i've found 9369 times and the second 34505841 times!! i've seen in the last days that the background was black after ending mc but this happens also with xterm. also if mc rewrite the terminal title it doesn't set it back to default if i close it. i couldn't say it exactly but i think this happens since the last vte-update. before i send this mail i've tried to reinstall mc but now it hangs at startup and trashes my .xsession-errors with error #1. franz. -- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-gnome" in the body of the message
