MEASURE PRESSURE BETWEEN CONTACTING SURFACES

Pressurex pressure indicating sensor film can reveal pressure distribution =
and magnitude between any two contacting or impacting surfaces. This thin p=
lastic sensor film is placed at the actual contact surfaces and instantaneo=
usly and permanently captures the pressure profile by changing color. Simil=
ar in concept to Litmus paper, the color Pressurex turns is also directly p=
roportional to the amount of force applied and can be quantified.

Pressurex can be used in many applications including in a bolted joint inte=
rface, composite layup, heat sealing and lamination presses; it can act as =
a force sensing resistor, and it can measure surface pressure distribution =
whether it is used as an impact force sensor, seat pressure sensor, as a st=
rain gauge or even as nip impression paper.
