Indeed, this was a very stubborn typo.  It was introduced in rev. 1.50
on May 5, 1997, then overlooked in the original PR, then again overlooked
when I updated that PR.  Finally, it was found by ceri yesterday, only
to be consequently be forgotten by me in the commit.  Must be one of
those magic bugs that bring good luck and I hope removing it doesn't
bring bad luck to FreeBSD.
