The Webplayer's USB port is underpowered. It dies whenever a sufficient load is played on it. A workaround is to plug the Ethernet adapter into a self-powered USB hub, then plug the hub into the Webplayer. That way, the hub is powered the adapter. A better long-term solution may be to find a wireless NIC for the internal slot. I've been half-heartedly thinking about trying this route, but haven't decided that it's work the money to do so yet. 2. I posted a small amount of data on my Wiki site at http://subwiki.honeypot.net/twiki/bin/view/Main/HackingMyWebPlayer . The material is directly related to Debian Linux, but the theory holds for FreeBSD. -- Kirk Strauser The Strauser Group - http://www.strausergroup.com/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
