Okay, let's take a step back and follow the "let's try to fix the ports tree" recipe :) 1) CVSup update your ports tree to the latest version http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/cvsup.html 2) Install latest version of portupgrade 2.1) If you already have it installed $ portupgrade 'ruby*' 'portupgrade*' 2.2) If you do not already have it installed $ cd /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade $ make install clean 3) Make sure your portupgrade database is both correct and up to date. When running with '-F' option, make sure you answer all questions correctly. Take the time to do so. $ pkgdb -F $ pkgdb -u This ough to do it. Let me know if any problems still persist.
