'toots' was down today due to the XF86 probs (XF86_W32 hangs the machine on a W32p/PCI card but that's another problem). I had ypbind running on 'blues' and since the server was down I couldn't even su at the local console despite from logging in via rlogin/telnet as a local user. Shouldn't that work independently from the server being available or not? --Chris Christoph P. U. Kukulies kuku@gil.physik.rwth-aachen.de
