If you're seeing any video trash being left around on your screen when using Fxtv with direct video, I'd suggest disabling SaveUnders in your window manager configuration. I'd disable use of BackingStore too. Example: AfterStep Window Manager (~/.steprc): # Make sure these settings, if present, are commented out: #SaveUnders #AppsBackingStore #BackingStore I have these disabled under AfterStep and I never see any video trash.
