Hello, /var/log/messages has nothing, I forgot to mention that.
This dbus stuff shows up in messages AFTER I start it manually:
dbus[1746]: [system] Activating service name=3D'org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit'=
 (using servicehelper)
dbus[1746]: [system] Activating service name=3D'org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1'=
 (using servicehelper)
dbus[1746]: [system] Successfully activated service 'org.freedesktop.Policy=
Kit1'
dbus[1746]: [system] Successfully activated service 'org.freedesktop.Consol=
eKit'
