ok, i'm trying to understand whether it was not possible for eternity
or just for the current packages-4-stable set because that was the
unclear part.  i was under the impression packages-4-stable is rebuilt
quite frequently ?

it would be really really, yes really nice if packages-4-stable was
able to be used as an install tree and had a INDEX file.
