More like a program using:

	pwe = getpwnam( "bob");

	/*deal with bob...*/
	... pwe ...
	... pwe ...

	(void)getpwnam( "tom");

	/*deal with tom...*/
	... pwe ...
	... pwe ...

With the idea that it knows that getpwnam returns a pointer to a static
data area, so it's OK to only set the pointer to that area once.
