Just noticed something: This is an X/tty motherboard monitor which supports LM78/79, WINBond 83781D/83782D/83783S, ASUS 991227F, and VIA VT82C686A/B PC-health chips via 3 methods: ISA-I/O, SMBus, VIA-direct. I'm running a Dell Insprion 8200 notebook and I know that it doesn't work with Motherboard Monitor 5 even in Windows. There is supposedly a www.geocities.com/fanonbsd which is a Inspiron 8xxx fan controlling/temp monitoring utility but the site has disappeared. It's basically the same as this except for FreeBSD: http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/index.html Cheers, Vince - vince@WURLDLINK.NET - Vice President ________ __ ____ Unix Networking Operations - FreeBSD-Real Unix for Free / / / / | / |[__ ] WurldLink Corporation / / / / | / | __] ] San Francisco - Honolulu - Hong Kong / / / / / |/ / | __] ] HongKong Stars/Gravis UltraSound Mailing Lists Admin /_/_/_/_/|___/|_|[____] Almighty1@IRC - oahu.DAL.NET Hawaii's DALnet IRC Network Server Admin
