Could the submitter enable LCP logging (with ``set log +LCP'' in the
profile in ppp.conf) and follow up with the resulting log entries ?

The magic number is random and is chosen at connection time. LQR
ECHO requests must contain that magic number.

It looks as if the peer has not negotiated a magic number during LCP,
but is sending one with it's LQR ECHO requests....
