    No, it is not deployed because of a lack of interest.  Lots of people 
    are interested.  We went through all that at BEST ... Except for 
    Alternet none of the backbones were willing to even contemplate
    multicast routing (pim or anything else) because they simply had no 
    way to manage their network bandwidth (to handle it) *OR* to bill for it.

    The situation hasn't changed.
