Hi ; I have configured XFree86 and successfully to bring display in black and grey grid and an X mouse cursor move . But I can't to bring display manager up when I type "xdm -nodaemon" . I appreaciate if somebody could help to point where is my configuration goes wrong . The error log that my system has captures is as following ...... ***** After turn on terminal 8 in /etc/ttys ********************** getty repeating too quickly on port /dev/ttyv8 , sleeping 30 secs ********* When I run "xdm -nodaemon " , /var/log /xdm-error ********************* (EE) Unable to locate/open config file (EE) Error from xf86HandleConfigFile() Fatal server error : no screens found xdm error (pid 415) : IO Error in XopenDisplay xdm error (pid 411) : Display :0 cannot be opened To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
