Trying to get FreeBSD upgraded from 1.8.6 to 1.9.9e, but have been informed that it has to be terminfo-less first. What if I compile ncurses but don't install a terminfo database to go along with it? Just /etc/termcap? Will it still work, or will it try to install a personalized .terminfo directory compiled from the /etc/termcap entry? Marc G.
