This might be a general UNIX question, but I've noticed on my mail server
running 2.2.5. Once the PID's reach around 27000 they reset. The system
has been up for about twenty days with people sending and receiving
thousands of emails a day. Users are also popping hundreds of times per
hour.

Do the PID's reset once they hit a certain number?
