If you're installing FreeBSD onto a computer and will
not be sharing that computer with other operating
systems, the easiest way to install is via FTP.

You can find clear, step-by-step instructions here:

http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/install.html

The basic concept is that you create boot floppies,
set up the installation you want, then download
everything you need via FTP.
