The last fam release is more than two years old, and the port is still=20
at 2.6.9 (which is rapdily getting three years old!). Besides, fam is=20
buggy w.r.t to NFS mounts.

I don't know about gamin, but it seems awfully linux-centric and=20
therefore rather unstable on FreeBSD. We would need to sneak in a *BSD=20
developer with kqueue-fu into the gamin team ...
