Kirk has a doctorate and several other degrees.  He has written several books
and articles on filesystem design and implemenation. You are, by your own
admission, an "intermediate C programmer" with no knowledge of kernel internals.
So far, we've all seen lots of talk on your part and no code.  Write some
code, then talk.
