FreeBSD-Current (i.e. 3.0) supports SMP, but be warned - it's not guarenteed
to be _STABLE_ (though a lot of people do run it on their regular
systems)...

You might also want to subscribe to the 'current' and 'smp' mailing lists
for a bit and see what's going on...

The SMP support works on most hardware - but if your on the right lists
you'll be able to check this with people... ;-)
