FreeBSD-Current (i.e. 3.0) supports SMP, but be warned - it's not guarenteed to be _STABLE_ (though a lot of people do run it on their regular systems)... Have a look at www.freebsd.org - i.e. http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/handbook231.html#492 You might also want to subscribe to the 'current' and 'smp' mailing lists for a bit and see what's going on...
