For the record, and for the benefit of those who try to learn the right
way to do things by watching commit mail, let me point out that I didn't
suggest making content and whitespace changes in a single commit.

Using a single commit to bring in both content and whitespace changes
generally (although not always) makes life harder for the translators.

In fact, from what I've heard, any commit that mixes different kinds of
changes (e.g. new text _and_ typos) makes life harder for translators.
This probably extends to a more general rule:  don't mix different kinds
of changes into a single commit.
