Hi!

I heard some reports that Linux supports some Winmodems. 
So the technical side of a driver  should not be the problem...

100$ for a new modem??

On ebay.de , they sell some el cheapo 56k stuff for about 50 DM ~25 U$
(Also got my sister an USR sportster 33.6 ext. for about ~20 U$)
