Have you got the linux emulator loaded?  Try 'kldload linux'.

Sun - official JDK released by Sun
IBM - JDK released by IBM
Blackdown - JDK released by Blackdown

(All of the above are Linux based and run under emulation)

jdk14 - Native FreeBSD JDK, compiled from source.
