  You can't boot off a ccd filesystem, as the BIOS doesn't know anything
about ccd.  You have to have a non-ccd root.

  SCSI uses parity on the bus.  Apparently you suffered an error.  That
means that something on the cable is damaging your data.  Replace cable,
terminators, etc.
