Hi,

Just new information for you:  David O'Brien <obrien@FreeBSD.org>
imported GCC 2.96 into -current's tree early this morning.  The build
succeeded on my system, so I should have a compiler with rudimentary
(i.e. "pre-alpha") support for IA-64 once I reboot.
