Well, I think it's still easy even if it's written in C, 'cause it's
just a matter of "grep"-ing the source and finding where it calls
giftoppm.... ;)

 * 	Yes, it works perfectly... the way it works is it converts the file
 * to pnm/ppm then ppmtops/pnmtops will change it to ps and ghostscript takes
 * care of the rest.

Oh, then OF COURSE it should work, it makes no difference whatsoever
to pnmtops whether the input is ppm or pgm or pbm!  So I guess we now
know what the apsfilter's authors were thinking! :)
