After several tries at downgrading Xorg metaport. I was able to isolate it to the xf86-video-ati port. After performing a downgrade in the port the video returned to a usable level. Currently using xf86-video-ati-6.12.4_1 X.Org ati display driver >How-To-Repeat: Upgrade xf86-video-ati to current release. >Fix: Downgrading the port is a temporary workaround and not a solution.
