Hi,

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to this -- my focus is almost
entirely on user-mode emulation to keep ports building on !x86.

I've CC'd asomers@ (qemu-utils maintainer), but I suspect the answer
is simply that it gained the dependency as accidental pollution from
emulators/qemu and can perhaps be undone easily enough -- so also
CC'ing bofh@ as the maintainer of emulators/qemu.
