Hi, I ftp'ed 4.4 ISO image from ftp.freebsd.org, burned it down but can't boot the CD (same with 4.3 ISO image). SRM found a "valid boot block" and read it in. It then does the "normal" things before "jumping to bootstrap code". When jumping it "halted cpu0" with "kernel stack not valid". This is very similar for 4.3 and 4.4. But I found some guys having got this to work on multias on the mailing list. Do I miss some special ENV VAR setting in SRM e.g. OS-TYPE or something ???? So my original goal - building a picobsd based fw-router - is delayed due to this problem :((((( thx4help ---Maik -- _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ Maik Bachmann ---------------- secnetix GmbH & Co KG _/ Oettingenstr. 2 -------------- D-80538 Muenchen _/ Tel(priv.): +49-8093-2962 ---- Mobil: +49-172-8305649 _/ Email: bachmann@secnetix.de -- IRC: IronMaik _/ PGP KeyID: F7A67E11 ---------- PGP Fingerprint: _/ CA 3B AA EB 7F 6F 7D 7A 54 D4 AA 01 82 8E 32 9C _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
