>Environment:

FreeBSD scry.dstc.edu.au 2.2-CURRENT FreeBSD 2.2-CURRENT #2: Fri Jul 26 17:14:34 EST 1996 d@scry.dstc.edu.au:/u2/src/freebsd/sys/sys/compile/SCRY i386

>Description:

I'd like to see some descriptions of the various components of
the ports directory. This desire actually came about when wandering
around the freebsd website. (like the packages have already, i think)

This could have gone to the category www

>How-To-Repeat:

	http://www2.au.freebsd.org/FreeBSD-mirror/data/ports/index.html

Unless you're savvy with the ports tree as a whole it looks pretty
	intimidating (i think).

>Fix:

The README in the ports directory(s) could contain short descriptions
of all the subdirectories, and the freebsd web tree could include
the descriptions as part of the index.

As a first bite at the problem, may i suggest:

Audio - audio converters, generators, players; CD players
Benchmarks - (sub)system performance measurement tools
Cad - computer aided design tools; circuit simulators
