Hello Howard,

The monolithic vs. modularized kernel is an old discussion.  If you're
really interested in pursuing this you'll have a lot of work to do,
mostly in figuring out explicitly all the implicit inter-module
dependencies.  Fascinating and fun, but you likely need a good reason
to do it.
