I'm running FreeBSD on my `workstation' with 3c509 card and I see 
no problems now. If doesnt't conflict with any other driver it works
OK and gives upto 1.1Mbyte/s on receiving of 20M file. I don't know 
what would be with more heavy usage.

I'm not shure but perhaps it will be easy.
