The machine ftp.freebsd.org appears to be down, not responding to FTP
queries, not responding to pings. Traceroute gets this far:

Thanks for looking into this. I'm trying to get apache compiled with
mod_perl and I keep getting this error:

main/libmain.a(http_main.o): In function `main':
http_main.o(.text+0x3bcd): undefined reference to `SOCKSinit'

So I'm pretty sure I need the p5_socks library. Thanks for checking into
the problem with your server.
