Bridge places its ports to promiscuous mode and attached ifconfig output sh=
ows
PROMISC flag. In this mode, ixl interfaces should "see" all incoming frames
despite of multicast filters.

This may be a bug in the ixl(4) driver.  Michael, please try to remove one =
of
your ixl interfaces from the bridge and run "tcpdump -ni ixl0" to check if =
it
shows incoming STP BPDU that way.
